With over four decades of experience in nursing services across the Armed Forces and private healthcare sector, Col. (Retd.) Binu Sharma has held several clinical, administrative, and leadership positions. She currently serves as CEO of the Infusion Nursing Society (INS), India, and Executive Director of Lonestar Holdings Private Ltd. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President at Columbia Asia Group and Senior Director of Nursing at Max Healthcare. She is also a Founder Member and Executive Committee Member of the Association of Nurse Executives India (ANEI) and has served as an Advisor to the Global Patient Safety Forum – CAHO and INFUZE Certification, as well as National Joint Secretary of the Interprofessional Wound Care Association (IPWCA).

Her areas of expertise include patient safety and quality, infection prevention and control, hospital planning and commissioning, infusion safety and excellence, healthcare technology and digitalisation, and nursing capacity, competency building, engagement, and empowerment. She is actively associated with leading healthcare forums and organisations including CAHO, AHPI, ANEI, FICCI, Health Parliament, NATHEALTH, and IPWCA, and has contributed as an author and speaker at various healthcare publications, conferences, and events.

Her contributions to nursing and healthcare have been recognised through several honours, including the Lifetime Achievement Award (2025), Woman of Excellence Award by the India Achiever’s Forum, and the Mother Teresa Memorial National Award, among others. Through her extensive leadership experience and advocacy for patient safety and nursing excellence, she continues to contribute to strengthening healthcare systems and advancing the role of nursing leadership in India.
