
Dr. Poornima Dore is a practicing economist driving impact through finance, public policy, innovation and digital transformation. As CEO of Dorian Scale and former Director (Analytics, Insights & Impact) at Tata Trusts, she is a sought-after advisor to leaders across sectors, valued for her ability to build winning teams and deliver deep strategic impact. She teaches at some of India's premier management institutes and is a life member of the Institute of Directors.
Over two decades, Poornima has led large programs at the intersection of business, philanthropy, academia and government — activating private-sector investment in data-driven governance, digital public goods, regional growth, urbanization and migration, and designing institutional programs on impact and SME financing. She began her career as a TAS officer with the Tata Group.
She is the co-author of Regional Economic Diversity (R.E.D.), published by Oxford University Press, which explores how leaders in business and policy can unlock the benefits of vibrant regional economies. She serves on the boards of select institutions and Ministerial Committees, has been recognized as one of the top 100 Analytics Leaders in South Asia, and is also an active musician.
She holds a Management Degree from XLRI and a Ph.D. in Economics from IIT Bombay.
