Pramod Aggarwal is Regional Program Leader of the Borlaug Institute for South Asia-CIMMYT, New Delhi. Earlier he was Asia Program Leader Director of the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security. He was the Coordinating Lead Author for the chapter ‘Food, Fiber, and Forest Products’ of the Fourth Assessment Report (2007) of the Inter- Governmental Panel on Climate Change. He has a PhD from Wageningen University, Netherlands and the University of Indore, India. His research interests are climate-smart villages, crop growth modelling, climate change adaptation and mitigation, crop insurance, and crop yield monitoring systems.
