
Dr. Rajashree Joshi is Vice President – Programmes at BAIF Development Research Foundation, one of India’s leading grassroots development organisations. With over 30 years of experience, she provides strategic leadership to multi-state programmes and partnerships spanning sustainable livelihoods, climate resilience, women’s empowerment and food systems transformation.
A development practitioner and thought leader, Dr. Joshi brings together grassroots praxis, research and policy engagement to advance inclusive and scalable development solutions. Her work focuses on transforming food systems through agroecology, sustainable agriculture, nutrition, nature-positive approaches and resilient rural livelihoods. She has worked extensively with governments, research institutions, CGIAR centres, international agencies and the private sector to translate innovation and evidence into development practice and policy.
An alumna of TISS, Mumbai, and holder of a Ph.D. from Savitribai Phule Pune University, she represents a distinctive blend of academic rigour, field experience and strategic development leadership.
