Dr. Shabana K M is a Senior Project Scientist at the Wadhwani School of Data Science & AI (WSAI), IIT Madras, working at the intersection of AI and education. Her research spans personalized learning systems, educational data mining, and AI literacy. She completed her PhD at IIT Palakkad, where her work on CurriculumTutor won the Best Paper Award at AIED 2022. She is also a recipient of the Prime Minister's Research Fellowship. At WSAI, she leads multiple initiatives advancing AI in and for education, and contributes to AI Samarth, a national AI literacy program aiming to reach over 5 million students, parents, and educators.
