Manmeet K. Nanda is a 2000-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the West Bengal cadre and currently serves as Additional Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. In her present role, she is responsible for key initiatives focused on disability inclusion and empowerment, including the Accessible India Campaign, Scheme for Implementation of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (SIPDA), Scheme of Assistance to Persons with Disabilities for Purchase/Fitting of Aids & Appliances, National Institutes of DEPwD, and the Scholarship Scheme for Persons with Disabilities.

Over the course of her career, Manmeet K. Nanda has held several senior positions across both the Government of India and the Government of West Bengal. Her previous assignments include Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Government of West Bengal; Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department, Government of West Bengal; Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry; and Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India. 

Her contributions to public administration have been recognised through several awards, including the Effective Initiative Award under MGNREGA (2016), the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration (2016), and the Best Electoral Practices Award in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
