Meenakshi Ramesh is the Chief Executive Officer of Pratham Education Foundation, bringing over two decades of experience in the social sector. She began her development sector journey with Pratham Mumbai in 2001, working closely with the organisation’s founders during its formative years until 2009. She later served as Chief Executive Officer of United Way Chennai, where she led initiatives across education, healthcare and livelihoods, alongside large-scale civic engagement and citizen empowerment efforts.

An alumna of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, Meenakshi has also served on the boards of organisations working in education and health, providing strategic guidance to advance sustainable social impact.
