Mohit Bhatnagar is a Managing Director at Peak XV and has been with the firm since 2006. Over two decades, he has played a central role as a culture carrier and team leader, while partnering with founders from the earliest stages of their journey across consumer internet, payments, SaaS, fintech, healthtech, deeptech, and AI. Mohit has had a ringside view of the founder journey and has served on the boards of several category-defining companies, including Zomato, Meesho, Freshworks, Cars24, Circles.Life, CleverTap, Jupiter, Citrus Payments, Prizm Payments, and Ujjivan Microfinance. Mohit believes deeply that founders who build successful businesses also have the capacity to solve some of India’s most pressing societal challenges. This belief extends beyond investing. He is also a co-founder of ACT Grants, a venture philanthropy platform that provides seed capital and guidance to accelerate technology-led innovations for social impact. Before joining Peak XV, Mohit co-founded Brightpod, a wireless startup in the United States that emerged through a spin-off from Ericsson Mobile Systems. Earlier, he built large-scale networks and products at Bharti Airtel, contributing to its growth as it scaled to over 100 million subscribers. This blend of entrepreneurial and operating experience continues to shape his approach to partnering with founders. He holds an MBA from UNC Chapel Hill and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
