Saachi Bhalla leads the Gates Foundation’s work in India on Gender Equality focusing on women’s economic empowerment and leadership. Previously she was part of the Policy & Strategic Partnerships team at the foundation, leading the team’s initiatives focused on Gender Equality and Nutrition and supporting efforts on strengthening South-South cooperation for progress on the SDGs. 

A strong advocate for intersectional and evidence-driven approaches to gender equality, Saachi brings deep experience in translating vision to impact — advancing policies and partnerships that place women and girls at the center of sustainable social development.
