Samir Mirza is Program Lead for Sustainable Agriculture at The Nature Conservancy in India (Nature Conservancy India Solutions). He leads TNC India’s flagship PRANA project, which promotes regenerative agriculture, sustainable crop residue management, and climate resilience among farmers. His work focuses on building programs and strategies that address climate change, advance sustainable production and consumption patterns, and apply economic instruments for environmental management. Samir collaborates with local communities, governments, implementing partners, research institutions, and corporates to design science‑based, scalable solutions for some of India’s most pressing environmental challenges. Prior to this role, he worked extensively with action research and grassroots organizations, where he focused on climate‑smart agriculture, monitoring and evaluation tools, and traceability systems for agricultural produce across India.

He holds an M.Sc. in Land and Water Management from the Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague, and Wageningen University, Netherlands, as well as a Bachelor’s in Agricultural Engineering from JAU, Gujarat.
