Satya Prakash Choubey is a development professional with 20+ years of experience in various national and international projects for microfinance, entrepreneurship development, water and sanitation, health and renewable energy. Currently, he is working in Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) in India as Director - Demand, Green Jobs and Enterprise Development through Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) applications. He is passionate about sustainable enterprises development through a total market approach engaging private sector players in innovative business models. He has facilitated more than 10,000 small and medium rural business enterprises being the part of various programs in BASIX, CARE, Institute of Financial Management and Research (IFMR), Water for People, Populational Services International (PSI) and Smart Power India (SPI). He has developed the Enterprise Capacity Assessment Tool (E-CAT) and co-authored “Demand Generation Handbook for Solar Mini Grids in India”.

He is an agriculture graduate from Odisha University of Agriculture and technology (OUAT) and Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management in Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
