Smt. Smriti Sharan’s public service journey reflects a steadfast commitment to placing women and vulnerable communities at the heart of development. Through her leadership of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), she has strengthened women-led enterprises, community institutions, financial inclusion, and resilient livelihoods across rural India.

She has been instrumental in advancing the Lakhpati Didi vision to enable three crore women entrepreneurs, while driving institutional reforms such as digital integration of community institutions, stronger federations, expanded enterprise finance, and the Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana for one lakh vulnerable households.

With experience across rural development, agriculture, commerce, India Post, and national policy initiatives including India’s G20 Presidency and Viksit Bharat @2047, Smt. Sharan is known for bridging policy with execution and translating vision into impact at scale.

She belongs to the 1993 batch of Indian Postal Service.
