His notable assignments include serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs and Joint Secretary in the Department of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, as well as Secretary (Budget and Resources) in Karnataka's Finance Department, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Commissioner of Survey, Settlement and Land Records, and Deputy Commissioner of Vijayapura. In April 2026, he was appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Government, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Karnataka, where he is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the state's health system, guiding policy formulation, strengthening healthcare delivery, and overseeing the implementation of key public health and family welfare initiatives.
